Posted on May 15th, 2026 Comments (0)
Some folks did not receive Activities email in the last two days.

We can assure you that email is being sent from the website, but our service provider has alerted that messages to certain, specific email services (e.g. verizon.net) are not going through.

Our service provider is working with these services to resolve the transmission issues.

BHA Elections in Final Stage
Posted on May 5th, 2026 Comments (0)
The Elections Committee has accepted all nominations as of April 30, and the final ballot for this year's elections are now set.

Because no more than one candidate is available for the election at any position, the requirement for voting will be waived.  A motion will be offered at the June 13 meeting of the membership to accept all candidates as elected to their respective positions.

You can keep up to date with this year's election process on the Elections 2026 page of the website.  (Only BHA members are allowed access to the Elections page.)
Website Privileges Have Been Updated
Posted on May 5th, 2026 Comments (0)
As of May 5, BHA members who did not renew their dues for 2026:
  • lose access to the Members section of the website (BHA Documents, Elections, Photo Album, and the on-line Resident Directory pages)
  • will not be able to vote in the upcoming June election of officers
  • will not receive the annual Resident Directory for 2026
  • will not be able to register for Activities Committee events where participation is limited to BHA members only
As of today, 35 BHA member households for 2025 were affected.

If you can't remember whether you've paid your dues or not, visit your Profile page. Click on the "Update Profile" link and scroll down to the item marked "Membership Expires."  A paid membership for 2026 will show the date "2027-04-25" (or later in some cases).

You may renew your dues at the May 9 Membership Meeting, or you may contact BHA Membership Chair Pennie Bartholomew at 32311 Mulligan Way.  Dues are $30 and provide membership for up to two adults at the same address.  Payments by check made out to "BHA" can be left at Pennie's home (use the basket on porch).
Updated Golf Cart Rules
Posted on Apr 11th, 2026 Comments (0)
In this update, Baywood has clarified the age limits for golf car operators and added a new restriction:
  • Unlicensed drivers may not operate oversized carts (such as 6-seaters) or any cart equipped with a “lift kit.”
Young drivers often lack the experience needed to safely handle these larger or modified vehicles. This concern was sadly highlighted last year in Pot-Nets, when an adult-operated golf car with a lift kit was involved in a tragic fatal incident.

The golf cart rules are posted in the Frequently Asked Questions section.  You can also download the current golf cart brochure (updated March, 2026).
